Baby's first photoshoot
We first met the future Nola on August 11, 2015. I'd had trouble getting an appointment once we figured out I was growing a human, so she was already surprisingly big and baby-looking when the doctor did the first ultrasound (her first photo is below).
I had been calling the baby "she" up until this appointment, despite Christina's insistence the baby was a boy because I wasn't sick at all, and Drew's protesting that there was a 50/50 chance baby was a boy/girl. But I had a feeling; I insisted she was a girl.
Drew asked our doctor if she could tell us the sex: remember, this is a low-res office ultrasound and they aren't supposed to officially reveal the baby's sex until the "anatomy" ultrasound at 20 weeks. But my doctor is pretty awesome, and she said, "My guess would be girl. There's no obvious penis, and I have 2 boys and have done enough of these to say we'd see a penis by now."
So in our minds, the girl prediction was solidified (the 20 week anatomy scan confirmed). It was official. In February when baby arrived, Drew would be outnumbered 3 to 1.
